TWO DAYS WORKSHOP ON “.NET” HELD IN SIRTS COLLEGE BY IT DEPARTMENT
IT Department of SIRTS College organized a two days workshop on
“.Net” on the date 30-31 March 2012. Mr. Tarun Bamba conducted the
workshop on “.Net”. Mr. Bamba is working for the Army servers and for
the security software, he is having a vast experience in Tata
consultancy services. Dr. N.K. Agrawal, Director SIRTS college, welcomed
him. All HOD’s, faculty members and entire SGI students have actively
participated in the workshop with full enthusiasm. The workshop was
concentrated on “Registration of domains on portals”, and how to make
quality website, which is very beneficial for the students for the
website knowledge. The workshop was organized and coordinated by Prof.
Ritu Shrivastava, HOD, IT and Prof. Jayram Dwivedi.

INDUSTRIAL VISIT OF EC VI SEM STUDENTS
The students of VI semester of Electronics and Communication
Branches have got a golden opportunity to visit SCIENCTECH TECHNOLOGIES,
INDORE as their industrial visit ON 6th April. The students accompanied
by the staff members started on 06/4/2012 at 8.00 in morning from
Bhopal and reached the SCIENTECH Technologies at 1 O’clock. The visit
was full of information, practical knowledge and field work. Firstly the
students accompanied by the staff members attended one hour
introductory presentation given by the engineers’ trainee. After the
presentation, the students were divided into Eight groups consisting of
Eight students and a faculty member. Then the students visited the two
units of the SCIENTECH. Here the students learned about CRO (Cathode Ray
Oscilloscope) .then they visited the R&D and other units. After
this the students Awarded By Certificates and they gave the feedback of
the entire visit which was no doubt excellent. The students have enjoyed
the visit very much. After this entire event the students and the staff
members have come back to Bhopal the same night.

A NATIONAL SEMINAR ON “ANALYTICAL STUDY OF ENVIRONMENTAL POLLUTION”
Department of Basic Sciences along with Civil Department
organized a National Seminar on “Analytical Study of Environmental
Pollution” on 23-24 March, 2012. Seminar was sponsored by MPCOST.

EXPERT LECTURE ON DATA MING IN INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY DEPARTMENT IN SIRTS COLLEGE
The IT department of SIRTS College has organized an expert
lecture under the supervision of Head of IT branch Prof. Ritu
Shrivastava on Data Mining delivered by the Prof. Dr. K.R.Pardasani of
Bioinformatics Dept. of MANIT College. He has delivered a lecture on
practical implementation of data mining & data warehousing
techniques. He guided the students on fundamental concepts and need of
Data Mining. This is a fast evolving technique that is being implemented
in companies & business enterprises. He also suggested students
with informative knowledge about research areas in which this could be
implemented in cloud computing. At the end Prof. Shobhini Job has
concluded the expert lecture by giving vote of thanks.
